FALL RIVER - On Wednesday, Dec. 12, Straight Shooters Family Billiards, 288 Plymouth Ave., will hold its 27th Annual Holiday Fundraiser and New Toy Drive to benefit St. Vincent De Paul Society.

The Caribbean Poker Party (CPP) is in its 3rd year as a partypoker LIVE tournament, but is making its debut at the brand new Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas, moving from its previous home of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The CPP is already one of the most popular stops on the partypoker LIVE tour, attracting poker players of all levels for what is always a fantastic 10 days of poker and Caribbean entertainment.

Super High Rollers have even more reason than normal to travel to the CPP with the prospect of the festival including a massive $10,000,000 Guaranteed MILLIONS World tournament, with a buy-in of $25,000+$500.

Requiring at least 400 entries to hit the ambitious guarantee, partypoker LIVE president John Duthie believes the tournament will quickly become one of the most prestigious titles in world poker.

“There are many coveted titles in poker, from the EPT and WPT Grand Final titles, to WSOP and WSOPE Main Event and Players Championship bracelets, and not forgetting our own MILLIONS Grand Final crown. However, a $10,000,000 Guaranteed, $25.5k Buy-In tournament is just as important as any of those. We can’t wait to hand the trophy over to our first winner in November, let’s hope it’s one of the 100+ online qualifiers partypoker will be sending, as that would be quite some story!”

Two highlights of the Caribbean Poker Party schedule this year are MILLIONS World and the $10 million guaranteed Main Event. The incredible schedule of events in the Bahamas also includes a $250,000 buy-in Super High Roller Championship, a $10,300 High Roller event, plus tournaments in PLO, Mix-Max, Win The Button, and 6-Max formats.

MILLIONS World will be held from 9th to 13th November, with two Day 1s, a Day 2, a Day 3 and a Final Day on Tuesday 13th.

Online satellites for the Caribbean Poker Party are running now, with Mega Satellites each Sunday awarding packages worth $12,000, comprising a MILLIONS Main Event Buy-In of $5,300, 9 nights’ Bed & Breakfast for two at Baha Mar, $1000 Resort Credit and $2,000 towards flights and transfers.

MILLIONS World packages are worth $32,500 and comprise a MILLIONS World seat worth $25,500 and 10 nights hotel and the same travel expenses as the Main Event Package.

As the Malta Poker Festival celebrated the first 'shuffle up and deal' of the Italian Poker Tour (IPT) Main Event and of the European Poker Tour €25,500 High Roller, PokerStars organized a press conference to unveil some important news about the room's operations in Italy.

'During 2015, PokerStars' live poker events in Italy will focus on quality rather than quantity,' the country's poker veteran and Team PokerStars ProLuca Pagano said as he presented the full calendar of the IPT Season 7.

With four different events to follow the ongoing festival in Malta, the IPT is set to stop in Saint Vincent and Nova Gorica before it heads back to Saint Vincent for the final leg of the year.

'We have reduced the number of events, but we have decided to increase the amount of work and the efforts that we dedicate to each one of them — and this will result in a greater offer of tournaments and cash games.'

As expected, PokerStars.it live tournament series will not head back to Sanremo, a location that the poker room decided not to include in the calendar also because of the negative feedback received from many players who did not appreciate the services offered by the casino during the past years.

This year, the poker room seems to be fully dedicated to the development of a new PokerStars LIVE poker room at the Casino de la Vallée in St. Vincent, right at the border between Italy and Switzerland.

'The new PokerStars LIVE room in Saint Vincent aims to become a must-go place for Italy's poker lovers, and also represents the most visible sign of a significant partnership between PokerStars and the Casinò de la Vallée,' Pagano concluded.

Set to open its door on April 24 with a special €100,000 guaranteed Mini IPT event, the one in St. Vincent is the latest addition to the PokerStars LIVE poker rooms, which already work at full speed in London, Macau, and Manila.

The seventh season of the IPT will also celebrate two different Player of the Year awards, with two leaderboard realized in cooperation with the Global Poker Index (GPI).

A silver level will count points for all the events with a buy-in of €600 or less, whereas a gold level will count points from all the IPT events, regardless of the buy-in fee.

'The GPI is proud of the cooperation established with the IPT, as this allows us to expand in the Southern European region together with a leader in the organization of live poker events,' the GPI CEO Alex Dreyfus said.
