Yes, ascended backpacks can have up to 2 slots. Any ascended backpack, apart from a few that begin with two slots, can be infused to give it an extra infusion slot. Most use the same recipe (Gift of Ascension, glob of mists essence, and stack of ecto) but some have different recipes, so check the wiki for your specific backpack. Why would you upgrade it to infused if you already have an infusion upgrade in that ring? I think I'm missing something, I though when you want to infuse your ascended item you just double-click the infusion and then click on the item (if it has a free infusion slot ofc). Attuned equipment is equipment that has been upgraded in the Mystic Forge to gain one extra infusion slot. Only ascended rings can be attuned. Attuned rings have a total of 2 infusion slots, or 3 infusion slots if they are also infused (which can be done before or after attuning the ring).
Purchase
- All of the ascended amulets, rings, and infusions can be purchased from the Laurel Merchant near the WvW gates in Lion’s Arch and also at major cities (look for the laurel symbol on maps).
Ascended Amulet
- All of these Ascended amulets cost 30 laurels each, which are obtained from the daily and monthly achievements. Keep in mind that some amulets have 4 stat combinations and there are 3 items with identical stats except difference in the type of infusion slot (offensive, defensive, utility)
Utility Infusions
These utility infusions only go on ascended amulets currently as these are the only type of ascended gear with utility infusions.
- Glided Infusion: +20% gold from monsters – 20 laurels
- Magical Infusion: +20% Magic Find – 20 laurels
- Experience Infusion: +20% experience from kills – 10 laurels
- Karmic Infusion: +15% karma – 10 laurels
Defensive/Offensive Infusions
These infusions can be brought for 5 laurels off the laurel merchant but do not come with any agony resist. Defensive/offensive infusions with agony resist are only crafted or brought from the FOTM dungeon vendor.

the mystic forge in Lion's arch. you'll just need 1 spirit shard to get those.Last thing you'll need, and this is why you need the mastery, is an Agonized Essence.Which costs 24 silver and can be picked up in the Fractals of the mists lobby.This item can only obtained when you have the Agony Channeler Mastery unlocked.Put these four things in the mystic forge and there you go!As you can see, the name of the ring has changed.It will now say attuned in front of it and it allows you to put another agony resistancebuff into it.Alright, let's move on to infused rings.First, you'll need an ascended ring that is not yet infused.To see if your ascended ring is infused or not, hover over it and see if it says: 'Infused'in parentheses.The process of infusing an ascended ring is almost the same as attuning an ascended ring.You'll need different ingredients though.To ascend an infused ring you'll need An ascended ring that is not yet infused5 Vials of Condensed Mists Essence, these get dropped from fractals between level 1-203 Globs of Coagulated Mists Essence, these get dropped from fractals between level 21-50And 1 Shard of Crystallized Mists Essence, they get dropped from fractals between 51-100Go to the mystic forge and put these ingriendents in.That should do the trick for you!The mist essences you'll need for this can also be bought inside the fractal lobby fora bit of money and fractal relics.And That's basically how you get an anttuned and infused ascended ring.Okay, let's move on to the giveaway.I've received a ton of comment son my last giveaway video.Thank you all for the support.Also, my apologies for the time it took to upload this video.I have been ill for a while and lost my voice so it took some time to record this video.Sadly we only have one winner.I wish I could give you all something.For future giveaway's I'll try to design it so that there are multiple winners.Anyway, let's see who won!Congratiolations MattKeynes18I'll be sending you an in-game mail and double check if it's really you in the youtube comments.Make sure to respond to this mail!Anyway, that's it for today.I hope you are all excited for the new Living Story episode that'll be coming soon.Gw2 Add Infusion Slot To Ring Sizer
